Hello Girls!
Do you know what you can use to replace a regular body balm? Homemade moisturising cubes can really work wonders when it comes to body care. If you are curious how these tiny cosmetics work, keep reading my today’s entry. Here, you’re going to find a simple recipe for this marvellous product suitable for everyone.
What are moisturising cubes?
To put it in the simplest way possible, these are natural ingredients ‘closed’ in cubes. They resemble tiny bars of soap; naturally, you can shape them at will. Moisturising cubes share the same features as the body balms available in a drug store. They counteract dehydration, relieve the feeling of contracted skin, soothe irritations and seal the hydro-lipid barrier of skin.
Moisturising DIY cubes
To prepare moisturising cubes which can replace your moisturising balm, you’ll need: approx. 250 ml of coconut oil and Shea butter, coconut butter and mango butter, approx. 250 ml beeswax, one teaspoon of vitamin E. How to prepare moisturising cubes that will replace your body balm?
Prepare water bath and combine all the ingredients except vitamin E and essential oils if you would like to use them. Keep stirring oils, butters together and beeswax long enough to get even mass. Then, take the mixture off the cooker and add the remaining ingredients, still stirring carefully. When warm, pour the mass into forms to let it become hard. Put ready cubes into a bowl made of dark glass and store in a cool and dry place.
How to use Moisturising DIY cubes?
Use them after each bath or shower, as well as when you feel that your skin requires moisturisation. In most cases one cube holds out for a few applications (it all depends on its size). Just take the cube into your hand, put onto your skin and then start massaging until you feel that your skin is smooth. You can repeat the procedure as often as you want to.
