What are heat protectants?

Heat protectant for hair – what may go wrong?
Before I reached for Nanoil, I used many other heat protectants. I wanted to compare different items and see if more expensive products work better. I wasn’t surprised to notice that the effects have nothing to do with the price. The components matter. Most of them had oils which aren’t suited to the type or porosity of our hair; most of the added oils were comedogenic, leaving the heavy coating on my hair and making it greasy. The effect was not what I bargained for. Maybe the hair was safe but it looked unfresh and flat.
