Glamorous make-up in 5 minutes (step by step)

You surely encounter this problem more than once: in a moment you have an important meeting/date/other important event and you haven’t had the time to put your make-up on. What can you do to look good in spite of being in a hurry?

My method is chic make-up that you can do in 5 minutes. No kidding! If you want to know how to do it, just read on.

Is it possible to do your make-up in 5 minutes?

In my opinion, you can, if you are free from major skin issues and blemishes.

My skin (luckily!) has never been too problematic so my make-up always was kinda quick. It was weird to me that some girls always complained that before a party they spend half a day in the bathroom. I didn’t have to, but it’s all thanks to lack of acne, broken capillaries, scars, blemishes, and such.

If you also happen to have this type of skin, I will prove to you that you can create glamorous make-up in just 5 minutes and it won’t limit to the application of mascara.

Glamorous make-up in 5 minutes – step by step

Here we go. Prepare essential things you will need (the time you lose for looking for each product in your cosmetic bag is not included).

You will need:

• mascara
• light and deep brown eyeshadow
• black Khol pencil
• lipstick
• BB cream or light-weight foundation

Let’s start our 5 minutes make-up perfect for all occasions.

1st MINUTE

Start with making your skin flawlessly even, i.e. apply BB cream. Take some cream or foundation on the top of the hand and add one drop of almond, raspberry, or argan oil to moisturize the skin even better and to make the product spread easier avoiding dry patches to stand out. I apply cosmetics with a foundation brush or beauty blender.

If you do this fast, you will have some time to tap in an under-eye concealer but it is not necessary.

2nd MINUTE

It’s time for the eyeshadow because it is a basic rule for eyes to be the center of the look. Apply light eyeshadow in the middle of the eyelid and on the inner corner of the eye. Then blend it. Next is deep brown eyeshadow on the external eye corner to make this look more in 3D.

After you are done with your eyes, you should run a few times over eyebrows with the same brush to darken eyebrows. It is not the most beautiful or perfectly done eyebrows make-up but that is no problem. You can always try henna beforehand.

3rd MINUTE

Glamorous make-up is such with cat’s eye but we don’t have time for it. There is no magician that could draw a perfect line in half a minute on one eye and another half a minute on the other one. Therefore, I make one in a smokey eye style. How? You need to apply Khol (it gives the best result) on the upper and lower eyelashes line and then blend it with a small brush or a fingertip. You need to do this on a closed eye and only along the eyelashes root line and spread it in a wide movement towards the external eye corner. It is the easiest way to draw a subtle line in smokey eye style that can create ordinary make-up into something more.

4th MINUTE

It came time for the eyelashes. I think the application of mascara in a minute is not such a difficult matter if you have good quality mascara. Two swings on one eye and another two on the other one and you’re ready. Eyelashes do the job so you should never skip that step!

If you prefer it, you can skip mascara and use eyelashes extensions.

5th MINUTE

Our glamorous make-up in 5 minutes should be finished with lipstick. Here you have two options. You can use simply a lip balm and enjoy smooth, gently shining, and well-moisturiized lips. Or you can use lipstick with color, but I advise against the use of all the reds and dark colors because those do not forgive mistakes. It is best to go for lipstick in beige, shades of pink, or peach because even when applied inaccurately and just spread on the lips, it will blend in with the skin and look good.
